Despite being quite disappointed with the way season 5 of TMNT (2003) was mostly handled, I find it very interesting how many of the concepts introduced in that season may or may not have served as inspirations for Rise of the TMNT (which executed these ideas more effectively in my opinion).

last week, I went to a friend's birthday celebration. it was a powerpoint party, basically like dropouttv's smartypants but without the q&a. I had 15 minutes to yap about whatever piece of media I love or hate.

so I took the opportunity to tell a room of people, half of whom maybe a decade older than me, about why I think #rottmnt is the best tmnt iteration thus far

(before anyone comes for me I know this is a matter of personal preference, I just upped the antagonism for drama)

wala lang. it was really, really fun. I loved sharing my thing with others, and it genuinely healed my soul to hear others yap about their things, even though I don't know them or their topics at all. 13/10 would recommend activity.
