Walked the trig to Otanewainuku Scenic Reserve. Lots of Tui, Toutouwai, Pīwakawaka. Views of Makatu, Papamoa, and Whakatane. Nice place to be in the heat of the day. About half way between Rotorua and Tauranga. Plenty of moss and fungi.
