I have had #RotatorCuff #surgery on both shoulders in the past

Right shoulder - skiing injury. Left shoulder - weight lifting injury.

I don't do either of those things anymore. 🤷

GAH the arm was mostly OK today but I don't think I'll quite finish the last #PhysicalTherapy exercise today - the set I just finished kind of did me in. It's ok, I fought the good fight.

holy HELL #PhysicalTherapy beat my poor arm to a pulp today.

It's not screaming though! Just a poor limp noodle. Watch this space - the pain may come tomorrow.

GUYS I THINK I KNOW WHAT’S UP WITH MY ARM as in why it hurts to move at all some days and others it’s not that bad and certain exercises are excruciating and ice and meds barely help etc etc.

Doctors love it when their patients self diagnose right?

I also kinds of have a sort of phantom limb phenomenon sometimes. Like when I'm starting to go to sleep, I'll get the distinct sensation that my right arm is in some really strange position. Then I open my eyes and nope, it's just laying there in the sling as usual.

Half way through the 5 weeks of sling time. Started official PT today.

I have my #PhysicalTherapy routine broken up into 3 separate sessions a day so that I don't end up in profound pain and despondency for days.

Update: my hair came down and I can’t quite 🥨 enough to pin it back up. Such is 🎢 of recovery from #RotatorCuff surgery.💪🏻🗡️

I am 9 days post rotator cuff repair and bicep tenodesis. It has not been as horrible as I feared, but I do feel like tossing my sling in a fire pit.

Friends, I’m bored.

In a pharmacy tonight I saw my shoulder surgeon. We were both wearing masks.

Me: Dr. Lastname?
Her: Yes?
Me: It's me, Rebecca Townsend. (I proceed to lift up my arm and rotate it) You did a great job! Thank you for all your help! I'll see you later this month!
Her: Great to hear!

I then begin to wonder how many of her #RotatorCuffSurgery patients wave their whole arms in greeting. Will have to ask her later this month.
