I had very little headspace for #TTRPG since I started my new job. 😐

I hit 43 this week and by now I feel like it's normal to go through cycles of availability/enthusiasm.

I sincerely look forward having the mojo to work again on projects.

There's much to do on #ParisGondo for the Kickstarter and #RosewoodAbbey

When someone runs a session of #ParisGondo or #RosewoodAbbey, it amounts roughly to a gift to me of:

- 2 to 3 hours of time (what I'd spend to run the session)

- travel time + expenses (easily several hours and £50+ if in the UK).

- for US conventions it amounts to several $1000 (travel+expenses.

Playtest session 2 report

As a fan of The Name of the Rose, Canard was enthusiastic about my monastic setting. He asked me to run a live session on Twitch at the end of November.

At the time, not a single Rosewood Abbey playtest had taken place yet.

The first playtest took place on November 5th (Remember, remember... See the previous session report above). It was informative but not a shining success.

TL/DR: I wasn't confident about this stream. 😅

Playtest session 2 report

Back in October, I was contacted by Canard Vert from the French-speaking LaPelle Crew Twitch channel. I previously met Canard Vert when I facilitated a session of #ParisGondo - The Life-Saving Magic of Inventorying as part of #CyberConv.

The LaPelle Crew was considering running a #BrindlewoodBay one-shot when they found out about Rosewood Abbey (oops, sorry Jason for stealing your spot).

Following the recommendations of Welsh #RosewoodAbbey enthusiasts, I got myself one of the #Cadfael Chronicles as research material from my local library. 😊

The first mystery to resolve is what the cover art is supposed to show. 🤔

@Celticknots I think 2023 will see new games using this engine pop out. And it's great. Also, they often use tropes/spaces that are not really filled in TTRPG space. Like Old Lady Sleuths, or Journalists here.

Here in France (where I translated #BrindlewoodBay), there's two coming up. Two featuring an abbey.
