“New Bethel” was clearly inspired by the story of a medium well-known movie. I can’t say which, because it would spoiler the whole episode. But the game captured the creepy atmosphere, especially in the beginning pretty well. For a while, me, the protagonist, felt like the only sane person in the community; until I could enlighten some of my fellows 😆

The New Bethel episode of #Rosewater was kinda interesting. But I'm still glad we're finally off the road now and reached our destination, El Presidio.
The two recent streams hooked me a little bit on the game again, but I can see why folks criticize it for being too slow/boring, being more of a visual novel than a "real" point-n-click adventure with compelling puzzles.
It's *fine*, I guess, but the middle has been a bit of a drag. Hoping for a good ending.

#Rosewater hat ein Release-Date (27. März) und einen neuen Trailer. Werde ich höchstwahrscheinlich in der ersten Woche nach Veröffentlichung spielen.
Sei jedem Adventure-Fan ans Herz gelegt. Der Vorgänger, Lamplight City (selbes Alternativuniversum, aber Viktorianisches England statt Western), war großartig, mit dem vielleicht besten Voice-Acting, das ich in Indie-Games dieser Liga kenne. Und die RW Demo hat mich gleich angefixt.

#twitch VOD zur #Rosewater Demo
Ein Point’n’click in der alternativen Realität, in der schon Vorgänger ›Lamplight City‹ spielte. Wieder (leicht!) #steampunk’ish, aber statt einem düsteren Londonverschnitt (politisch wie atmosphärisch), diesmal im Westernsetting.
Die Demo ist kurz, aber zeigt, was auch schon im Vorgänger gut war: tolles Writing & Voice-Acting, sowie eine Handlung die nicht auf sich warten lässt und zumindest mich nach dem Prolog am Haken hat.
