The Waeve - City Lights
This new Coxon/Dougall joint opens *very* Scary Monsters (and super creeps)-era Bowie—I swear the title track, City Lights, sounds like a light rewrite of “It’s No Game (No. 1)”.
Not that that’s necessarily a bad thing!
Anyway, the album feels like a bit like a tribute to early-80s New Wave/Art music, touring through their memories of favorite tracks, sounds and styles… it’s fun.

The Waeve - The Waeve
Graham Coxon (Blur) and Rose Elinor Dougall (Pipettes) came together as a band and couple and produced some lovely music together.
They don't bring their other band sounds in, so don't expect that. Perhaps something more like Broadcast? There's some Jarvis Cocker in here too.
A generous double-album of good music...hopefully just the start!
