I've been asked to toot some more of the work of Ganpati23, their (modest) film company.
We met 30 years ago, participating to creating a tekno scene in France, and a few of the first Teknivals in Europe.
I figured this short video would show you the spirit of their work, as well as the joy and friendship we experienced when on the road for a couple of years.Loud music.

#RoryNewman est un vidéaste anglais arrivé en France pour couvrir les manifs des GJ en octobre 2018.
De novembre 2018 à septembre 2019, nous avons passé plusieurs dizaines de week-ends avec les Gilets Jaunes, dans des manifs a Paris, Nantes ou Toulouse.Rory a eu une commande d'un média anglais pour une vidéo uniquement graphique de moins de 10 mn sur les "évènements" comme les appelaient les tabloids anglais, qui ferait passer son ressenti de ces manifestations.
Il avait été particulièrement marqué par l'épisode du "'boxeur", Christophe Dettinger, qui a défoncé à poings nus deux CRS portant 40 kg de protections et des casques capables d'encaisser une balle.
Il a décidé de baser sa vidéo sur la musique de "The Boxer" de Simon et Garfunkel.
Un super montage, majoritairement des images à nous, et bien sur quelques emprunts.Si je la poste maintenant, c'est que les droits exclusifs du média a l'origine de la commande s'arrêtent aujourd'hui..
