Ne pas oublier dans les années 70, la censure était omniprésente : qu'on parle de kaya, de ghetto, même de culture rasta.
Pour la paire Manley / Seaga qui se disputait la politique jamaïquaine, le reggae et le soutien de tel ou tel vedette étaient un enjeu crucial.
D'où la précaution des lyrics, personne n'avait envie d'attirer des gunmen.
