  1. Slides are up for my talk at #rootconf talk: Around the Supply Chain in 80 slides.

    On SpeakerDeck: speakerdeck.com/captn3m0/aroun

    PDF Download: captnemo.in/talks/2025/around-

With Speaker Notes: captnemo.in/talks/2025/around- (helpful, since slides don't have a lot of text). Recording is available, but unedited so I'll wait a bit.

  2. Just got done with my talk at #rootconf. Thanks everyone who woke up early on a Saturday to attend!

I will be around throughout the day in the Software Supply Chain Security track. Come talk to me about SBOMs and Tokenless CI Systems.

  3. I’ll be at the #rootconf Security Engineer’s hangout today evening from 5:15-6:30pm IST at Underline Center, Bangalore. @karan and @anant will be around as well.

Rootconf members and ticket holders should have an invite. Come join for security chit-chat and more.

    Snacks included!

  4. The #Rootconf talk schedule is out.

@anant is curating the Supply Chain Security track where I’ll be giving the first talk. I am yet to finalize the title, but I’ll be doing a State of the Union talk covering everything that makes up the field.

One of the reasons I am excited about this is that it lets us (I was a reviewer on the track) set the context as a baseline to let the speakers focus on the core of their talk, and not tj-actions.

  5. I've been wanting to do more "big-picture" talks. Starting with a proposal on State of Supply Chain Security for #rootconf

CPF is up at hasgeek.com/rootconf/rootconf-. Comments and feedback welcome.

  6. The Supply Chain Security BoF is happening tomorrow at the Underline Centre (as a #rootconf pre-event)

If you're sick and tired of using jugaad for your DevSecOps pipeline and want to brainstorm on how to untangle the figurative chain, come on in.

    RSVP: hasgeek.com/rootconf/supply-ch

I’ll be around, come say Hi.

  7. The #rootconf CFP is open. hasgeek.com/rootconf/rootconf-

4 tracks this time - Platform Engineering, AI for Security, Distributed Systems, and Supply Chain Security.

@anant is curating the last one. The CFP deadline is 20th April.

Conference Dates are 16th ans 17th May.

  8. 1. encryption isn't enough, put PII in a vault. hold references in other locations, this reduces the surface area and you know where the leak can come from. if PII is distributed all over your system, there are that many places of leakage. #rootconf #privacy

  9. I will be around at the #Rootconf Cloud Costs Optimisation conference this Friday (#Bangalore International Center).

I’m not really interested in infra stuff these days, but hoping to meet folks and pollinate some ideas. Find me around if you’d like to talk about security, fintech, software supply chains, or cats.

  11. Data breaches are now part of mainstream reports. But what does it mean for the end consumer - what's beyond the compliance? All that and more in this conversation with folks who are keen observers of rights, privacy and protection of consumers. @hasgeek
