W Szydłowie spodziewałem się wielkich murów obronnych, ale nie malowideł z XIV wieku. A to przecież nie jedyna atrakcja. Są jeszcze synagoga z XVI wieku, drugi gotycki kościół, ruiny zamku Jagiełły, ruiny średniowiecznego szpitala, no i śliwki. Wszędzie są śliwki. Śliwkowe Carcassonne.
