The US Court of International Trade has somehow figured that Biden's two-year moratorium on tariffs on solar modules from Southeast Asia was unconstitutional while Trump continues changing the tariff schedule day to day.
That means billion of dollars in retroactive back taxes that will render a lot of solar companies insolvent or bankrupt and wipe out their investors, if they weren't already going to be once the tax credits expire.

Somebody will have to remind me when Trump campaigned for more federal regulatory roadblocks for new energy resources, like suspending all "new or renewed approvals, rights of way, permits, leases, or loans for onshore or offshore wind projects."
I guess one might have picked up the implication from the garbled mumbling about the noise giving whales cancer before shuffling his arms around to music for the rest of the speech.

Trump wants to protect the US automobile industry. Apart from the one notable exception run by a notorious nazi, US American car companies sell ridiculous polluter trucks as "cars". And Trump thinks it's very important to protect their right to carry on destroying the planet for The American Way.

Every time I see one of these reports about the amount of public subsidies (with or without these or those externalities included or excluded) for fossil fuels the number is larger than the IAEA's World Energy Report's $1T/yr in fossil investment, so would investment in fossil energy largely end without the public subsidies?

Texas is 'replacing' lost gas tax revenue for EVs with a $200 fine on them. The state has a 20 cent gas tax, so the fine equals the tax on 1000 gallons of fuel in a state where annual per-capita gas consumption is around 500, so quite aside the fact that road-use taxes don't make a lot of sense (in most cases the last one to benefit from the road is the driver) so Texas is #RollingCoal by taxing EV owners twice what ICE owners pay.

Reading this story it's never even guesstimated how much money Facebook is making placing paid reach for these fossil-fueled wind-causes-cancer cranks through its paid-speech hosepipe into the engagement algorithm that keeps Ben & Bongino consistently at the top of the metapops.
