Did a couple of hours of coding at the library with my #SteamDeck + #Rokid combo. Had my Rii i8+ keyboard in my hands for controlling it. It was nice to be able to shift into any position I felt comfortable with without having to adjust a monitor or deal with placing a laptop in a comfortable location. I just sat my deck on a side table and put the glasses on my face.

Eeeee. My #rokid #ar headset came in! It's decent and actually works which is all I could ask for.

Looks like my #rokid shipped and should be here within a week or two. :O

Apparently the #rokid Max has a button that turns on "3d mode" by presenting the two eyes as separate (or was it extended?) displays.

I'm planning to use this for shenanigans by having different windows presented in each eye. E.g. on my left I can have my chats and references, and on my right I can have my terminals / editors.

It's likely it won't just work out of the box, but it'd be fun if it did. :P

Finally caved and ordered the #rokid max #AR headset to pair with my #SteamDeck. Been enjoying building up my setup and my STT coding setup. However holding it up for long periods of time isn't very comfy. Having the screen on my face will make it easier to get comfy.

While VR is at the forefront, AR (augmented reality) has slowly been gaining ground. One company focused on bringing AR to the masses is Rokid, and they have announced that its next iteration of AR glasses, the Rokid Max, are now available for preorder.
