My desktop PC, laptop and all servers remain Linux, but for the sake of my existing Xbox library I’ve declared an uneasy truce.
I’ve put together a guide to neutering Windows 11, from Rufus foundations to killing Recall and AI telemetry via Group Policy. If I’m going to use it, I’m at least going to make it behave.

#Dinkum is a cute game and it's hitting my #AnimalCrossing button without having to play it on Switch (though it is coming to Switch soon!). I had been looking for a substitute to run on my #ROGAllyX and it definitely fits the bill. It has a very strong Animal Crossing feel.. Except the part where I watched a shark snag a dingo that was sitting in the shallows. Heh.
I also started playing #MyTimeAtPortia and that one seems pretty neat too. Very pretty. Feels a little less fantasy than #Palia but similar in other ways.
I've been hunting for some games to keep my attention and hoping these will fit the bill.

the face buttons for rog ally x (running bazzite) stopped showing up under steam controller settings for desktop control, not sure when this happened, probably sometime in the past couple of months, i've looked for solutions, can't find anything, tried resetting controller settings, didn't help
it's just specifically desktop control settings where this happens, the buttons + controller settings for these work fine anywhere else
anyone got a solution to this?

So as a part of upgrading my #ROGAllyX to a bigger drive, I decided to reinstall Windows with the cloud restore to give myself an opportunity to run Windows games that won't run on Bazzite. One of those is Minecraft Bedrock. Nevertheless, it was a lot of hoops to jump through to get to the point of even getting the install running. On a blank drive....
And once I did... Ummm... How is that supposed to be a polished gaming experience??? I tried installing a Steam game first, and had a rough time getting it set up, and then it wouldn't play consistently. This is a Steam game playing on Windows with the Windows Steam Client.... the Steam client was getting in the way... the other launcher would get in the way... It was enormously stupid and ridiculous. And this was "out of the box".
I partitioned out space on the new drive for Windows, Bazzite, and shared Steam game space. Bazzite is going back on. I ran into snags running NON Steam games on Bazzite, but never Steam games.. So frustrating.

bazzite is running well on rog ally x, everything works fine, just couple of things that still need adjusting, but i can't seem to figure out how to scale the steam keyboard, it's kinda small, i can't find anything to change this, any suggestions?

went ahead and ordered rog ally x after spending few days thinking about it, i can deal with the lack of trackpads, joystick works good enough to control the cursor in desktop mode and i don't really use the trackpads much in games tbh (well okay maybe i'll miss it a bit for ffxiv, but i'll manage lol)
i just wanted something with more power and with large battery, rog ally x provides both
first thing i'll do when it arrives? get rid of windows, it's awful
