I think Roelf Meyer is a fine choice for US ambassador... Or, he would've been 15 years ago.
Look, I don't want to sound ageist, and I'm very sure he's just as sharp as ever, and completely up to the task, but at 78, the man should be enjoying his retirement. I wouldn't imagine he needs the money, but when the president calls, it's hardly appropriate to say "Thanks, but no thank you".
But really. Let the man rest. He's done enough for our country. 🙄
