  17. Picture from last night, in my dressing room, as I was waiting to sing “You’ll never walk alone” from the musical Carousel by Richard Rodgers and Oscar Hammerstein II at the New Year's reception of the Darmstadt 98 sports club, also called “Die Lilien”.

For some reason, that’s a football anthem!?! Gotta love them for picking a work by Jews! Go Lilien!

1958, Vinyl, LP, Album, Stereo, RCA Victor – LSO-1032
    Canada

Appropriate today more than most, Hula Girl is overlooking me spinning one of my earlier charity shop finds for quality.

The South Pacific #Soundtrack is in great condition -- probably a VG+ or better. Cover is in great shape, still in shrink, and the LP is also in great shape, VG+ or better.

    Also some great tunes!

    ---

The soundtrack for South Pacific captures the essence of Rodgers & Hammerstein's groundbreaking 1949 musical. The 1958 film adaptation was a major success. The soundtrack became one of the best-selling albums of the era; 31 weeks at #1 on Billboard (making it one of the longest-running chart-toppers in history).

  21. The only problem I have with #TheSoundOfMusic is that an abusive medical practice manager that I worked with about 20 years ago wouldn’t play anything but #RodgersAndHammerstein
