My immediate area is Mixed Wood Boreal Forest, transitioning to Aspen Parkland to the east +Foothills biome to the west. We have mainly Aspen + Balsam Poplar, White + Black Spruce, Tamarack Birch + Willow with very scattered Pine. I start to see Pine on the drive west to work in #RockyMountainHouse,
Most of them are in spots that for some reason I struggle to get decent photos of..lol Here some are highlighted in the centre of the photo

pt 1 Last week the car had to go in for urgently needed new tires (2/4, have to get 2 more when money permits; I had to miss work until it could be done). While my friend was at the shop with the car, I walked to a couple of stores to get shopping done in advance- and caught the #sunrise

#SevenOnSunday only 1 day late ;) Since Friday to Sunday are my work days, I chose some views from the #commute from Condor #Alberta to #RockyMountainHouse We have #haze #smoke #thunderstorms (seen but not felt) and an #agricultural crop of dubious nutrition but great #colour!
Top: Canola crops reaching peak flowering, seen from #DavidThompsonHighway + centre- mixed with sow thistle etc -failed crop or leftovers?( maybe too wet after sowing?)

prices would be moderate, since these are not groomed nursery show plants. Seeds could be shipped (ask for things I show you might be interested in, and I can /try to collect seed) plants would need to be picked up, which is the tricky part since I live in the country (Condor, AB)-- arrangements could be made #RockyMountainHouse #Eckville #SylvanLake etc

3/3 I don't want another animal to become settled here and need to be re-homed later- not always easy for cats that people allow to breed far too freely! Plus outdoors over winter is not great here- cats are better with a barn or house.
So here's the cutie (pics in main post in this thread), hoping maybe someone nearby is looking for a cute, friendly young cat!

1/3 Recent visitor to the acreage: I thought it was one of the endless parade of neighbour cats that wander over here- some from our nearest neighbours or farther (they often don't last long here outdoors, so cast is everchanging) But-it's been hanging around for a few days, and unlike usual visitors, meowing for attention + coming up to the house, trying to approach while I'm outside etc.

(From the car- I'm not the driver!) Shots from the drive from town today (I try not to go on non-work days, but had to get a couple of things, so got more things so I won't need to shop before/after work as much).
Mostly overcast, ittle below average temperature- high around -7C today-- still, no wind, so not really cold, and warmer than the cold spell last week!
