Y, antes de que se me olvide, el viernes pasado estuvimos con el amigo @Julipides viendo el documental "The Stones and Brian Jones", que, aunque estupendo, da mucha penica.
#BrianJones fue hundiéndose en su particular miseria cuando #MickJagger y #KeithRichards comenzaron a componer temas propios, y a apartar a #TheRollingStones de la restrictiva senda de #RNB que el rubio fundador de la banda había trazado.

The Stones and Brian Jones (Nick Broomfield, 2023) Documentary on Rolling Stones founder and guitarist Brian Jones. He tends to be forgotten these days (my girlfriend was amazed she didn't know anything about him.) It's a pretty standard #rockumentary although the imagery constantly gives off that #Sixties rush. It must've been mad to be in that band, impossible to think straight for a minute. In the end Jones still remains a bit of an enigma. #rockandroll https://boxd.it/7S1Ju5

Quite possibly the best documentary about music / art / society I have ever seen. The year of 1971 was more of a watershed moment than I had imagined: things were changing irrevocably (improving & falling apart) and the world has never been the same since. Art no longer reflects reality, it steers it and redirects it.
If society, art, and humanity intrigues you, watch this. You will be rewarded.

I have known more *of* this band than its music. Their influence upon others far out-weighs any success their recordings have ever had.
Know I understand that.
The story of the band is told by those directly involved and by those who were there, both through recent interviews and historical audio recordings. It is both tender and honestly critical where required; that’s all anyone could ever hope for.
Highly recommended.

The "LookAway" documentary was premiered a little over two years ago, and it is painful to realize that whenever men are in charge, #abuse of women and underage girls often/usually ensues. The #RockNRoll scene is unfortunately no exception.
And this disgraceful series of events finally colours our perception of musicians and producers we used to like.
