An Fear Marbh at Sunset

It looked like there wouldn’t be any sunset, but I was down at the bottom of Dunquin Pier when I saw an orange glow coming from behind the large rock blocking my view of the sun that had just set.

If you know how steep that path down to the pier is, I hope you’ll have some sympathy for me as I raced up again to capture what turned out to be a momentary break in the thick clouds. I was surprised I saw any colour in the sky!

"All it is is rocks in a paddock," Mr McMaster (farmer)

"Adrian McMaster allegedly used an excavator to remove rocks from an ancient stone arrangement resembling an eel on his Lake Bolac property, between Ballarat and Dunkeld, in 2021. I was moving the stones so I could get the [weed sprayer] in there," the 65-year-old told Ballarat Magistrates Court."

Today's #PhotoOfTheDay takes us to the Navajo Nation and Tségháhoodzání (Window Rock).

According to wikipedia Tségháhoodzání is important in the traditional Navajo Water Way Ceremony (Tóee). It was one of the four places where Navajo medicine men go with their traditional woven water jugs to get water for the ceremony that is held to pray for an abundance of rainfall.
