Been feeling sorry for myself lately about the seemingly insurmountable translation project I started over a year ago & am still trying to finish. But as I read Elspeth Huxley's brilliant #biography of #RobertFalconScott, self-pity turns to shame. My woes pale in comparison to Scott's trials in trying to reach the South Pole. With no Amundsen trying to overtake me, I'll just shut up now & get on with my duty of finishing the job I started. (Or being finished by it.)
