RoMeO lezing begint. #RoMeO #RMO gaat deze keer over paars.

I have this ongoing fascination with how modern some of the antique things look - here jewelry from old Egypt, from 3500 years ago, as seen yesterday in the lovely old Egypt exhibition at the National Museum of Antiquities / Rijksmuseum van Oudheden / #RMO in #Leiden.

Oh lekker! Het #RMO ofwel Rijksmuseum van Oudheden heeft weer een paar topstukkenlezingen klaar staan. Is online, ik hoef er mijn huis niet voor uit en ik word er niet dommer van. De eerste lezing is over iets Egyptisch, dat doen ze express om mij binnen te lokken*. En het werkt want ik heb mij voor alle komende lezingen aangemeld.

The Department of Mathematics, IISER Bhopal, would be organizing Mathematics Olympiad Problem Solving Sessions (MOPSS). Its aim is to develop an interest for mathematics among the students, through encouraging them to work on problems falling broadly within the scope of Mathematical Olympiad.

Applications are invited from the interested students, enrolled in the 7th, 8th, 9th or 10th standard. The timetable and instructions for the application process may be found at the page https://jpsaha.github.io/MOTP/MOPSS/.

On May 08, jointly with Kartick Adhikari, delivered a talk titled 'An Introduction to Mathematical Olympiads' in the Summer Outreach Camp 2024, held at IISER Bhopal during May 06--11.

This helped spread awareness about the Mathematics Olympiad program in India. The students took part in a brief problem solving session.

Peu de littérature scientifique sur qualité en #MG en 2000 : absence de données, moins de besoin d'accès aux soins, confusion avec l'excellence (= CHU en France).
