  1. All quiet down the river this afternoon
    3 cormorant
    11 geese
    1 swan
    possible little egret
    + mallard ducks
1 boat making its way upstream

    Overcast with a cool breeze
The tree man has strimmed the summer growth from around the saplings in the tree enclosures and they are looking neat. Next job: plant out the willows I've grown from cuttings to fill in some of the gaps

  2. An image of a beautifully preserved #medieval wicker #fishweirs/trap from #Hemington, #England. The area around Hemington is known to have a large number of early fish weirs. Weirs dating to the mid-4th millennium BC have been claimed to exist from the #RiverTrent.

  4. This is what a tiny bit of decent light can do. It gives the opportunity to grab something majestic like this #Heron flying over the #RiverTrent

  5. Not looking too promising

Predicted level for River Trent to go over 5m at Colwick lock by Thursday morning. That’s higher than we’ve ever known it. Some allotments are going to be under water and not just allotments

  6. I’ve not been on mastodon for a while….
So here’s a blast of autumn, to welcome myself back 😉🧡

(Edit: with one more tree picture added, for further autumnal comfort and joy!) 🤎🧡💚

  7. Yes, once again I'm back with another #hiking video - this time heading off along the #RiverTrent on an overly humid day for a 16 mile yomp.

Featuring fields, water cannons(?!), narrowboats and one long rant about landowners blocking footpaths.

Well, it wouldn't be a #WalkingWithLlamaPaws video if it didn't have one of those would it?!
