Nach dem plötzlichen Tod von Rob Reiner und seiner Frau – und der dahinter stehenden Familientragödie vor nur ein paar Tagen -, fällt es mir allerdings tatsächlich schwer, diesen Film nicht auch als ein frühes Vermächtnis seines Regisseurs zu sehen. Auch, weil ich damals, als ich ihn zuerst sehen durfte, das meiste meines eigenen Lebens noch vor mir hatte. (ZDFneo, Wh.)

I had watched the coming-of-age weepie over and over growing up so it was an overwhelming experience to sit down with its creator and see it again. It was a magical day and he was just as warm-hearted as his movie
