"September swim" - First dip this month. Fresh but not cold. Epic waves. Good fun. Looking forward to the dawn mornings later in the year. Going to be ace. Do wish I had a decent waterproof case for my camera. Currently using luck. They’re so expensive, but you get fascinating photos. These are iPhone in a simple pouch.

#NBD Today, I finally picked up my 60th birthday present to myself (it was last October!), a North Road Cycles Grav-i-Ti. I got the tram down to Sale Moor and rode Nollaig back via the gravel/rocks/sand/cobbles tracks that run alongside the River Mersey, from Sale Moor to Stockport. Then onto tarmac for the last 9km home. Of course, it got filthy so had its first wash later in the afternoon, too!

#NewBrighton, on the Wirral, was lovely. The weather was sunny and there was no wind, which meant it was nice to walk about even though it was freezing cold.
We enjoyed a walk along the long promenade (longest in the UK apparently. We did quite a walk but didn’t do all of it!) and the views of the #Liverpool skyline across the #RiverMersey. I was surprised by how much sand there was on the beaches.
