Jornadas extensas reducen productividad laboral en México

México acumuló más horas laborales con menor productividad, según organismos internacionales.

México registró un promedio de 2 mil 207 horas laborales anuales por trabajador, cifra que lo ubicó entre los países con mayor carga de trabajo, de acuerdo con la Organización para la Cooperación y el Desarrollo Económicos (OCDE). El reporte señaló que la productividad por hora alcanzó apenas 24 dólares. En contraste, Irlanda generó 153 dólares por hora con jornadas más cortas.

La OCDE documentó que el número de horas trabajadas no se tradujo en mejores resultados económicos. El organismo comparó a México con economías que redujeron jornadas y elevaron su eficiencia. El análisis evidenció una brecha estructural en el desempeño laboral nacional.

El estudio internacional precisó que México presentó una caída de 0.4 por ciento en el crecimiento de productividad. Este descenso colocó al país como el segundo menos productivo del bloque. El dato se integró a las evaluaciones recientes del mercado laboral.

Impacto en salud laboral

El Instituto Mexicano del Seguro Social (IMSS) informó que 75 por ciento de los trabajadores mexicanos padeció estrés laboral, enfermedades cardiovasculares o burnout severo. Esta proporción superó a China y Estados Unidos, según cifras comparativas. El informe vinculó estas afectaciones con jornadas prolongadas.

El IMSS señaló que las condiciones laborales influyeron en el deterioro de la salud física y mental. Los padecimientos se asociaron con esquemas de trabajo extensos y baja eficiencia organizacional. La institución documentó un aumento sostenido de estos diagnósticos.

El impacto sanitario también repercutió en la capacidad productiva de las empresas. Las incapacidades y ausencias laborales se incrementaron durante el periodo analizado. El organismo integró estos factores en sus estadísticas nacionales.

Costos económicos empresariales

El National Safety Council (NSC) reportó que una empresa con mil empleados perdió hasta un millón de dólares anuales. Las pérdidas se relacionaron con ausentismo, rotación y baja productividad asociadas al burnout. El organismo internacional documentó estos costos financieros.

El informe del NSC indicó que el desgaste laboral elevó gastos operativos. Las organizaciones enfrentaron mayores costos por reemplazo de personal y atención médica. Estas variables impactaron directamente en la rentabilidad.
