#DaisyRidley says she still finds the fan backlash against #RiseOfSkywalker upsetting. My issues w/ Eps. 7-9 are plot-related. I applaud the actors and their performances. I feel Rey could've had a better story not dependent on the Skywalkers nor the Palpatines.

That being said, the whole #TimelessChild thing from s.12 was ill-advised and betrayed a fundamental lack of understanding of the franchise.
Kinda like when JJ Abrams brought #Palpatine back to life in #RiseOfSkywalker.

Don't get me wrong. Were there a lot of toxic people throwing out fan theories when the Star Wars Sequels came out? Sure. But the toxic crowd lampooning The Last Jedi were given too much fuel by the lack of unified vision that the creators failed to come with, you know, before they started making movies. (I liked The Last Jedi mostly, but The Rise of Skywalker kind of ruined it for me.)
