Curious about #smartrings as I'm wearing the fitting practice #RingConn Gen 3 right now. My FitBit Flex 2 self-destructed a few months ago. Sleep/activity are all I *need*, the other stuff will be icing, even if inaccurate on a medical level. About 7 hours in, I'm barely noticing it on my non-dominant index finger. About the same as my titanium wedding band.
Any insights, tips, cautions?

Had a Ringconn Gen 2 for almost three months and I'm impressed. Not chunky, good battery life, decent accuracy for step count (checked against Apple Watch), etc.
If they had a decent data export (it's super clunky) and/or an API for fetching my data, that would be perfect.
(Also got a Renpho Smart Ring and it is much more chunky compared with the Ringconn despite being the same "size". Step count isn't as accurate but most other things seem in the ballpark of the Ringconn and Watch.)

I’ve been a very happy ringconn user for about 2 years now. Last year I even upgraded to the new ringconn gen2.
Unfortunately, this ring has gone from lasting 10+ days to suddenly only about 3 hours. Within a year !!!!!
So…. can no longer recommend :(
Hope at least they follow through on their warranty…. -

I haven’t worn a ring in a long time, so now wearing the #ringconn ring has reminded me how often I wash my hands each day!

@mookie I thought you were into #Fitbit or watch based fitness tracking.
Are you using the #Ringconn ring?
I've been thinking about getting an #Oura ring since it 1st came out years go but considered it too expensive & even more so after they started charging an monthly/annual fee to use the app.
You know my feelings about watches but just saw on #Amzn that there's a Ringconn ring that charges no fee for the app.
However, current reviews of it question its accuracy & conclude that while it's good for sleep assessment, it's not so good for tracking naps & workouts.
While I'm only interested in using 1 for sleep tracking, I'll probably wait until further improvements are made before buying 1.
However, in the interim, I'd be interested in hearing your opinions about the the ring & app, if you'd care to share them.

The sleep tracking data from Ringconn does transfer sleep stages correctly to Apple Health. Yay! Charts are this morning (Ringconn with colors) vs yesterday morning (Whoop without colors).
Side note, the two tracked pretty closely with each other on sleep time and stages (Whoop does track stages, it shows in the Whoop app).

My Ringconn ring caught me nodding off with the TV on. 😝

I got a Ringconn to track fitness and activity — on top of all the other devices I have (Whoop and Apple Watch).
The Whoop is for recovery but not fitness activity (steps and stuff). Plus, doesn’t populate Apple Health with much.
I stopped wearing my Apple Watch Ultra 2 24x7 because it 1) It’s like wearing a rock all the time and uncomfortable while sleeping, 2) I am tired of all the alerts — which I get I could turn off, but then… 3) I want to wear my mechanical watches.

Follow up on my Ringconn. Been VERY impressed. The sleep tracking, stress tracking and vitals are exactly what I wanted.
Last week they added respiratory rate (only during sleep), a new indoor running exercise mode and menstrual cycle tracking for women.
Battery is easily 6-7 days, though I charge it a bit more often than that.
Washed my hands while wearing it and it is holding up fine. No scratches either.
