Moin @DerReparierer (und anderer Menschen aus der #RepairBubble), meinem Vater ist die Waschmaschine kaputt gegangen.
Auf dem Mainboard ist ein Bauteil durchgebrannt (inklusive Magic Smoke Release sobald der Netzstecker steckt :mastomindblown:).Es geht um eine WW80K6404QW und ich habe versucht, die defekten Bauteile zu fotografieren.
Sie befinden sich zwischen dem großen Kühlkörper und den beiden großen ElKos.
Ich vermute, dass ein Kondensator abgeraucht ist und möglicherweise das daneben befindliche Bauteil ebenfalls.Nun zur Frage: Die Platine ist komplett vergossen (mit Silikon oder einem weichen Harz) - bekomme ich irgendwie raus, was das für Bauteile sind und kann man die auslöten und tauschen?

#Garmin hat nichts im Punkt Reparierbarkeit gelernt.
Bei meiner Freundin gibt es nicht mal die Anstrengung ein kaputtes Display zu reparieren. Es wird immer auf einen Neukauf verwiesen. Nach einigem E-Mail Verkehr gibt's jetzt Nachlass auf eine generalüberholte Smart Watch.
Bei mir jetzt als Firma als nicht kaufbar eingestuft, auch wenn die Akkulaufzeiten gut sind. 👎

This is what happens when the #RigthToRepair is just an illusion that is still pending in the EU, despite the past regulations.
In the pictures, you can see my Google Pixel Slate, a tablet with an invasive and unusable OS (#ChromeOS ).
I was so tired of that OS, that I decided to give it a new life with #Fedora or even #macOS (yes, a kind of #Hackintosh tablet). Fedora, because is #Linux - #OpenSource, and macOS because I’m already within Apple “ecosystem”.
Now that is opened, I can do a clean installation of those OS, however I do not have a screen anymore, and it’s impossible to find a replacement.
With no enough money -because unemployed- to buy a decent #SecondHand iPad, and without a new screen to install it, I have nothing more than #eWaste.
I really hate Google and its products, all of them. Dumb of me that I wanted to give them an opportunity some years ago.

@gabriel I prefered John Muir's "How to keep your Volkswagen alive".
The worm's eye views and including sandwiches as spares when a procedure would take a long time were brilliant.
John Muir's philosophy of repair fits right in with #RigthToRepair -

The @EU_Commission will launch legislation on the #RigthToRepair on 22 March.
This is the last chance to call for a regulation that makes repairing devices cheap, easy & eco-friendly!
