There's one, how should I say it, over-sight in the #rigify arm rig in #blender that just drives me bonkers.
It is how the arm twist bones do not do a full twist, rather it stops 1/3rd short. (pictured 1)
If the last twist bone copied the full rotation, the bone connects to the elbow so much better. (pictured 2)

I've been doing a 60 minute limit for modelling characters in #blender and then using the very cool #realmotionpro add-on to access 400+ animations for #rigify ... then I did a #geometrynodes thing to create an array and randomize Z rotation... fun! #chickendance

Aw why can't my cat sit correctly
I did use the humanoid rig rather than the cat rig, but the spine is identical in both rigs. I'm guessing either my torso is too short or I just didn't place the spine bones in the right places.

Very slowly learning rigging and weight painting. I think I'm happy enough to leave this one be for now and move onto the next thing. There are a lot of mistakes here and it took me far longer than it should have, but I'm happy enough with it. I really need to work on my velocity and learn how to get things done faster. Also, #Rigify is awesome.

I also tried some #mixamo animations on this, but they didn't look right. I suspect it's either because of the chibi proportions, or because they were designed for a different rest pose.
Next step: drive the eye sprites with bones.

Also I'm deep into a rigging rabbit hole right now. I'm trying to get my rig/model to work on multiple engines and platforms, not just #Blender and #unity3d I've always loved #Rigify for its widgets, but it takes some work to convert Rigify humanoids to the various other humanoid rig formats out there (#Mixamo, #VRM, #Mecanim).
How do other 3D artists make cross-platform humanoid rigs?

I have a Blender plugin written for version 2.79 which handles a number of production tasks for me, including repairing animation / rigging glitches and automating the compositing system we use for our NPR 3D look on #LunaticsProject . That's "ABX":

I never personally touched #Rigify , but our character rigs started with it, and were just tweaked a bit afterwards.
