  1. #Trump's interview with #Musk hit by tech issues

    HAHAHAHA!!!!

The "tech genius" once again unable to promote an unattractive #rightPopulist on the platform he owns.... this is reaching #putin levels of incompetence

  2. @RussCheshire

The messaging is scary - #rightPopulist rhetoric that uses "we" and "our" to recruit all of us to their cause - when they have less than 30% electoral support even when you add the far right #reform numbers...

That means 70% of us are NOT in favour of this extremism...

It also demonstrtates what kind of man #sunak is - doubling down on the madness even as we watch it fail....

  3. @marti @OliverNoble

Well I think it might be quite a while before we need to worry about who runs the #toriesOut after the #2024GE

I do expect #labour to do a better job of preventing a future repeat of the #rightPopulist nonsense we have has since 2015 - TBF to Blair/Brown what has happened since then was unimaginable before "call me Dave" took a stupid gamble on a referendum that engaged the gammon tendency

  4. @BonehouseWasps

I am not sure Mordaunt is quite the full ticket - did you hear her "fight" speech? Hilarious!

I think they are doomed to go thru a cycle where the #rightPopulist wing (the execrable #Braverman) take their popular support even lower before they accept just indulging their own fantasies aint gonna win them power again....

I doubt it will take them as long as it took #labour.....

  5. #GBNews: #Ofcom rules breached over #RichardTice interview

GB News breached impartiality rules in an interview between #Reform Party leader Richard Tice and Brexit MEP Martin Daubney

Who would have guessed that a #rightPopulist channel would have breeched the rules when one member of Reform interviews another (& his former boss)?

Is Ofcom completely toothless in reining in these purveyors of far right propaganda?

  6. #Braverman to quiz police boss over #Met response at #Gaza protest

Home Secretary (allegedly a trained lawyer)should try aquainting herself with Separation of Powers

We now unambiguously have a dangerous #rightPopulist crazy at the Home Office

  7. @hesgen

I think I've had enough of "inspiring"leaders - thru history they have proved unreliable

#trump inspires many - so do other #rightPopulist leaders closer to home, in an unpleasant echo of the 30s

I'd settle for boring competence with an absence of pork-barrelling - or the nearest we can get to it

  8. @TCatInReality @ChrisMayLA6

THe US Democrats as a model? When they select a septgenarian as candidate in a system that normalises 8 years in power against a #rightPopulist egomaniac monster who will now most likely displace a president who raises my anxiety level each time he walks down from an airplane?

    I think not......

  9. @Probertd8

I am not sure being #racist about nasty #rightPopulist politicians is any better than being so as a white policeman passing the time with #stopAndSearch

AFAIK "our way of life" is not an expression with much meaning - I doubt my way of life & yours have much in common

  10. #Braverman UK-Pakistani grooming claim misleading, says press regulator

The vile Home Sec reprimanded for a #rightPopulist bit of hate speak toward those of a different ethnic group

Baroness Warsi, the UK's first South Asian cabinet minister, warned that Ms Braverman's rhetoric had "emboldened racists" and was putting British Asian families at risk.

Home Office research published in 2020 found group-based child sexual offenders were mainly white

    @CONSERVATIVES_A_NO_NO

The big liar has been succeeded by the little liar

No change on the #toriesOut side except in scale

From destroying our entire relationship with our own continent to destroying the lungs of poorer inner city children

  12. @bytebro @Alex_A_Gee

Tell me - who did you vote for up until 2010?

Life really is too short to get "beyond angry" -

"Resignation" was what I felt 2011 - 2020 whilst first #Milliband then #Corbyn stuffed it up by forgetting that the first duty of the LOTO is to get the party elected to power - enabling the most #rightPopulist BS govt of my lifetime to get away with murder by their incompetence

I recommend it over incoherent anger

  13. @openDemocracy

Corbynism really is gone as a political force - except in the dreams of some fantasists

The #UK will never vote for an out-and-out #socialist as leader - all pushing for one achieves is more chance of #rightPopulist govt by the terrible #toriesOut

The only way the country stops going further to the right is if #labour is elected

The party in power defines where the centre is - not the opposition

  14. @matthewtoad43 @OliverNoble @PoliticalPuffin

I think you are mistaken - the future is not a linear projection of the past. And the current #rightPopulist era will wane - indeed it may be doing so already. But I do not see any signs of a resurgent socialist left - here or anywhere in Europe

  15. @jkfanghanel @RichardJMurphy

I can't reach into the minds of the #labour leadership, but I suggest "having no plans to repeal" is not the same as "planning to retain unchanged"

We're in the "winning next election" stage of the electoral cycle - don't expect any party to commit to a policy that'd repel some who they imagine might vote for them

That doesn't mean #rightPopulist legislation will be left as is were #labour to win - one thing certain - if #toriesOut win they will double down on it

  16. @Walrus @jacqui76 @harriettmb @OrangeMenace

Nope - just a statement of fact. #Brexit was the contractual exit of the UK from the EU and that is done - as we residents of the UK have been by first the #rightPopulist lies that won the vote and then the chaotic & stupid way the #toriesOut mismanaged the exit

  17. @CountessEmma @Walrus

Well I think he could play them better - not by adopting old-fashioned left-wing policies but by being clearer on his opposition to ignoble #rightPopulist dog excreta #ToriesOut are promoting

It does seem as tho c30% of my fellow electors are in thralll to #rightWing BS - meaning #labour must pick as much support as possible from other 70% - you don't do that by ambivalence on moral issues or by going all out for leftist policies. He is only doing half that job ATM
