@danilovic Das siehste mehr und mehr überall. Waschmaschinen, Computer, Autos. Alles nur noch so bauen, dass man es möglichst nicht mehr selbst reparieren kann. Alles integriert. Keine Einzelteile mehr. Wenn was kaputt ist, sollst du bewusst die ganze Einheit tauschen müssen.
#RightToRepair wird zunehmend ausgehebelt... Hauptsache Kohle. Umwelt, Nachhaltigkeit und Kunde sind nachrangig.

Den Vatertag genutzt um endlich die Ladeplatine des Tablets zu tauschen. Leider war der Akku tiefentladen und ich mußte ihm ein wenig helfen.
10 Minuten lang die Messspitzen halten ist auch härter als man denkt. Aber es bootet wieder, mal schauen ob es auch wieder ordentlich hochkommt, wenn die Spannung niedrig wird. -

The battery of my iPhone 13 mini needs replacement (after 3.5 years), and Apple recently started to officially support self-repair, selling genuine battery, tools, screws, etc.
Except the replacement at an authorized dealer, including labor and parts costs slightly less than only the genuine battery for self-repair :D (~100 EUR vs 110 EUR in Hungary).
(There is a ~50 EUR refund when the replaced part is sent back, so I might still attempt a repair.)

While many people in my network know @geerlingguy from his #Drupal work, it's always great to see him advocating for #OpenSource in unexpected places like the 3D printer I bought my 13 year old son. I've told my son this will be his last Bamboo if they don't respect the #righttorepair and the #agpl license Purusa used for Slicer.

Better late than never—I finally took the plunge and ordered a Framework 13 Pro laptop! Of course, delivery of the newer Intel model isn’t expected until the end of September, so I’ve decided to go with the more affordable AMD model for now, which is scheduled to arrive in July. I can always buy an Intel motherboard later and swap it out, then turn the old AMD motherboard into a mini PC. That’s the great thing about Framework!
