  1. Live #RIFE video framerate #interpolation has been available for a while but to my knowledge there is still no out of the box player on linux that uses it.

The "simplest" way I found so far (on arch):
    - Compile mpv with vapoursynth support (will enable automatically if vapoursynth is installed).
    - Install this implementation: aur.archlinux.org/packages/vap
    - Save this vapoursynth script gist.github.com/ChristophHaag/
    - run mpv -vf=vapoursynth=~/VapourSynth-RIFE-ncnn-Vulkan_script.py video_file

  8. This looks interesting! A modern frame-interpolation and retiming gizmo for #Nuke

I haven't had time to really check out the latest deep learning nodes for Nuke and the "Cattery". But most of these tools contain the disclaimer about potential restrictions for commercial use because of the underlying training data.

Is this a no-go for most studios or does everybody just not give a damn because who can possible know a particular ML tool was used on a show?

  12. Finished the RIFE2 manual for the v1.0.0 release. The manual ended up being 37 chapters and I'm sure it's still going to grow!

Now I need to finish some Javadocs and it'll be time to start announcing the next #RIFE generation in the #Java communities!
