Ici il faut vérifier les modalités de mobilité du mécanisme d'obstruction.
La bache de la malle de ma voiture est fixée par des boutons-pression. Elle est horizontale, et sert à obstruer. C'est donc un couvercle. Par contre, j'ai croisé récemment une chambre dont l'entrée pouvait être obstruée par un #rideau que l'on pouvait fixer des deux cotés par (aussi ?) des boutons-pression. De part son rôle on devrait pouvoir l'assimiler à une #porte, mais ses lacunes en matière de charnières (lesquelles sont basées sur une rotation, tout comme la #roue), mais concrètement, il faut rester dans le flou de l'incertitude parce que c'est le moment #Apéro qui arrive.

The Lurms are feeding. A bit far from their usual haunts, but it only takes them about an hour to swim back up the #Ottawa, jump up #Rideau falls (at night) and back to their nests around Manotick. #canada #lurm
They usually go after middle school kids but maybe this boy was thrashing like an 11 year old.

This bit of the #Rideau is now 2/3rds frozen. Canada Goose numbers are down a lot from their peak some weeks ago, as they've cleaned out the nearby post-harvest grain fields.
Some are trying to mow some lawns, which are pretty green after recent rain and warmth, but at -8C that isn't going to last long.
I think a lot of the non-residents have moved on. The locals end up squeezed into smaller and smaller pools of open water, until its all frozen and they shove off to Black's Rapids etc.

Bass boat is fishing hard over a spot where I know there is a lost navigation marker.
The marker and it's anchor were dragged into a 30ft deep hole, so now the buoy floats suspended about 15 ft below the summer surface.
Fish finders go crazy and show all kinds of fish-like signal.
In the fall, when the water level drops about 10ft, and the water clears without boat traffic, the hovering buoy is visible.

Over the past 3 days, the #Rideau has quickly risen about 2m and is now looking ready for opening weekend.
There is a good chance of a pirate ship passing by, if it didn't already pass yesterday or this morning.
It winters not far upstream and heads straight for Mooney's Bay. Then it's 12h/day of birthday parties straight through to Thanksgiving weekend.
It's not an easy life being a pirate these days.

The #Rideau here quickly dropped about 6ft over the past week, making it easy to roll out the dock this morning. The Mooney's Bay reach was looking almost full, so this reach should start to fill soon, ahead of the opening of navigation on May 20th.
