Uppland, Sweden, 1918. The parents are pulling their daughter through a hole in a tree, to cure her from rickets. In Sweden these trees are called Smörjträd, which literally mean Lubrication Tree - but maybe it’s more proper with Salve Tree? Anyways, another name is Troll Tree. #folkmagic #folklore #rickets
