The only thing funny about #RickAndMorty S9 E08, “Rickuiem Mort a Dream”, is that the one time actual #empathy shows up in the episode is when Morty, supposedly drained of every last drop of empathy by the alien parasite, takes the time to talk down a serial killer by walking a mile in his shoes. The rest of the episode spoofs the fact that most people don’t know the difference between empathy, compassion, and sympathy, and yet, they always know that it’s one of the most demeaning insults to be sympathized with, on the receiving end at least. I love everything about this manic adventure, which is a spin-off of "Rick and Morty," except the opening song. My husband disagrees, and thinks the music is the perfect amalgam of the "Cheers" and "Taxi" themes.
