Another favourite image from my 30+ year photographic career. Continuing with UK landscape, here’s the greatest piece of landscape art in the country, Ribblehead viaduct in the Yorkshire Dales.
Whatever you think of Michael Portillo, he genuinely did play a pivotal role in saving the Settle—Carlisle line and probably therefore the viaduct too.

Whilst I realise I'm very fortunate to live in a lovely part of the #YorkshireDales .. sunny weather brings a lot of people out here who don't really think about the consequences of their actions. Appalling parking on narrow roads is very common so larger vehicles like buses, tractors or emergency vehicles can't get through. Cattlegrids are there for a reason and gates to the side are for horses and other animals to get past. Both cattlegrid gates at #Ribblehead are currently blocked by bad parking. Suspect #Malham will be much worse. I'll be staying close to home today and pottering on the allotment! #WoesOfRuralLiving

I had no idea the #Ribblehead viaduct would be such a popular destination. (But it is Easter Saturday after all.) I expected this to be mostly a geek tourism target. Have time for a pint before I continue to Leeds. #Interrail
