What a fabulous day - thanks @ceri A short early run around the reservoir followed by a trip to Gower #Cymru #Wales where the temperature was a couple of degrees cooler. Lunch in #Mumbles and the evening in my paradise aka #Rhossili bay. This place always leaves me overwhelmed. It’s just stunning in every direction. Photos don’t do it justice #GetOutside

At least Castaway Cove itself doesn't flood quickly in the tide, but on the other hand we did have to paddle out again round the corner - fun when there's swirling sand and one fairly narrow strip that's merely calf-deep when the rest is at least knee-deep. Totally worth it for this banging route, though, and probably the most picturesque cove of Rhossili beach.

Rhossili beach is such a fun venue: Sharp barnacles for the first 4 meters of every climb, slippery, salt air rock, potentially corroded protection, slogging over sand to get there, limited time to climb, and a very real chance of being stranded or swept out to sea... What's not to like? Seriously, though, it's an epic location with some great climbs and it's even better with a fun bunch. I thought this one would be a fun challenge for said bunch to try - arete climbing being a style not seen that much in the gym - and thoroughly enjoyed it myself.

Took a trip to #Gŵyr / #Gower today to see the #Sunflowers. Not the greatest weather for photos, but #Rhossili and #WormsHead are always stunning.

Last night, I sat on the cliffs at Rhossili from 10:30pm until 1:30am. I set my camera up to take photos continuously and when I put them all together, this photo was created showing how the Earth rotates in relation to the stars. The star in the middle is Polaris, also known as the North Star.

Wet and wild weekend in #Wales with school friends. Staying in #Horton (included view from bedroom window from which I could see the sea).

Went for a walk in #Rhossili to see the Worm in #Gower, and we were invited into the Coast Guard station as the weather was so foul, and we were unable to make it to the end of the Worm and back in time.

Last night, when most sensible people were in bed, I was standing in the sea for a couple of hours watching and photographing the bioluminescent plankton at Rhossili Bay!

Bioluminescent plankton is notoriously unpredictable and can appear at any time at any tide or not appear at all.

Of course I didn't take just one photo on Sunday night :) After shooting the first photo, I ran to the top of the path so I could overlook Rhossili Bay. This is the Aurora Borealis over Rhossili Bay with the moon, taken just before midnight.

I ran another workshop at Rhossili earlier this week and whilst we weren't blessed with a sunset, we had a great time there. I chose a long shutter speed to smooth out the water as it started to encircle the Helvetia.

Yesterday, I ran a half day Landscape Photography Workshop at Rhossili Bay and we were blessed with a beautiful sunset overlooking the bay. After seeing porpoises/dolphins in Rhossili Bay itself, horses on the cliffs and gorgeous light at Fall Bay, this topped off a great 5 hours.

I've wanted to take this photo for many, many years and the conditions were finally right earlier this year - sunset colours in the sky, white water in the long waves and glorious colour on the cliffs! This is, of course, the gorgeous Rhossili Bay at sunset.
