Some #Rhodesian (and I assume that's slang for #RhodeIsland) #radio asked the pertinent question: what if we fired our trash into the sun?
As per usual it's a question of logistics, and if we could find some way to just slingshot that sucker into the sun we'd maybe be fine, except for the possibility of plastic being carried back to earth via radiation, introducing a brand new way to pollute our world with plastics... neat.
