Yesterday, the #carnival parade took place in #Westum, a village with 1,700 inhabitants in #RhinelandPalatinate. Since the parade only happens once every five years, it is always a special event in which the entire village community and residents of neighboring villages participate — either actively with a carnival float organized by a local club or as spectators and revelers along the roadside. After all, the parade passes right by people’s homes.
