Cela fait deux ans que j'ai abordé l'hypothèse de la "fuite de laboratoire" : cette idée, désormais totalement réfutée, selon laquelle la COVID-19 aurait débuté par la libération accidentelle ou intentionnelle d'un virus d'un laboratoire de Wuhan étudiant les coronavirus. Ce n'est pas ce qui s'est passé. Bien qu'il s'agisse d'une hypothèse ayant été plausible début 2020, de nombreuses études menées au cours des six dernières années ne laissent plus beaucoup de doute à ce que le virus provienne très probablement d'un animal infecté vendu sur les marchés d'animaux vivants de cette même région. Si vous avez manqué ces recherches et souhaitez un aperçu, n'hésitez pas à visionner ma vidéo de 2021 à ce sujet car depuis, aucune nouvelle preuve n'est venue contredire cette hypothèse et des tonnes de nouvelles études confirment l'origine mercantile du virus.
Le 18 juin 2024, j'ai réalisé ce que je pensais être ma dernière vidéo sur la théorie de "l'évasion de laboratoire". À ce moment-là, elle était complètement démystifiée et il ne me restait plus qu'à souligner qu'elle était passée d'hypothèse plausible à véritable et dangereuse théorie du complot. J'ai fait remarquer que les séances parlementaires consacrées à ce sujet mobilisaient des ressources précieuses, empêchant notre gouvernement d'avancer et de se préparer à la prochaine pandémie. De plus, l'obsession de cette question met en danger la santé physique des scientifiques, victimes d'illuminés complotistes.
Et bien ce n'était pas ma dernière vidéo. Quelques jours plus tard Reuters a révélé que la théorie du complot de l'échappée de laboratoire avait en réalité été propagée par la CIA dans le cadre d'une guerre de désinformation contre la Chine avec, mensonge supplémentaire, l'intox que la Chine avait intentionnellement libéré le virus pour vendre ses vaccins au monde entier. Typique de la CIA. Charmant.
Deux ans plus tard je reviens sur ce sujet car, malheureusement, deux actualités viennent étayer mes affirmations : cette théorie du complot est dangereuse pour la sécurité des scientifiques et la préparation aux futures pandémies.
Parlons tout d’abord de la sécurité des scientifiques. J’ai mentionné qu’ils étaient menacés par des illuminés anti-science mais j’ai omis d’évoquer les dangers qu’ils encourent quand ces mêmes illuminés contrôlent les trois branches du gouvernement américain. La semaine dernière des agents fédéraux lourdement armés ont fait irruption au domicile de M. David Morens, scientifique de 78 ans ayant pris sa retraite en 2022 après avoir mené des recherches sur la grippe à l’Institut National Américain des Allergies et des Maladies Infectieuses (NAID). Ils l’ont déshabillé, mis en sous-vêtements, menotté et emmené de force en prison à 65 kilomètres de là où ses empreintes digitales ont été relevées et une photo d’identité judiciaire a été prise. Ils l’ont relâché plus tard dans la journée mais lui ont demandé de revenir pour remettre son passeport, ce qu’il a fait. Le chef d’accusation ? Avoir utilisé son adresse courriel personnelle au lieu de son adresse professionnelle pour discuter des origines de la COVID-19 après que l'Institut National de la Santé (NIH) ait annulé la subvention sur une étude d'un collègue intitulée "Comprendre le risque d'émergence des coronavirus de chauve-souris", ce sur la base de la théorie du complot autour de "l'échappée de laboratoire". Le ministère de la Justice affirme que cela constitue un "grave abus de confiance".
Le directeur du FBI, Kash Patel, tombant du lit un lundi après-midi et tout en prenant une poignée d'aspirines, a déclaré "Non seulement Morens a dissimulé illégalement ses communications mais il a également reçu des pots-de-vin pour ça." De quels pots-de-vin parle-t-il ? Ben, le collègue dont la subvention a été annulée a voulu remercier Morens de son soutien en lui envoyant une bouteille de vin et en l'invitant à dîner. Voilà tout. Voilà les "gratifications illégales". Pour rappel, Kash Patel a pris un avion privé, aux frais des contribuables, pour se rendre en Italie et boire de la bière avec l'équipe olympique masculine américaine. "15 000 dollars à chaque décollage" a-t-il dit lui-même. Alors oui, il s'agit ni plus ni moins que du gouvernement fasciste américain punissant un scientifique qui, par ses travaux scientifiques, conteste cette théorie du complot qu'il s'efforce encore de répandre pour contrer la Chine. Ce n'est pas un hasard car lorsqu'il travaillait à l'Institut National Américain des Maladies Infectieuses (NAID), Morens était un très proche collaborateur d'Anthony Fauci, une cible si évidente du régime Trump que Biden l'avait remercié par anticipation avant de quitter ses fonctions. Il n'est pas absurde de penser que sans cette intervention de Biden c'est Fauci qui aurait été menotté et mis en sous-vêtements.
Pour en revenir à mon point concernant la théorie du complot sur l'échappée de laboratoire et le danger qu'elle représente pour notre préparation aux futures pandémies, une étude préoccupante a récemment été publiée dans Science mais elle est aussi d'un point de vue scientifique absolument fascinante et captivante, c'est pourquoi je l'ai gardée pour la fin. Intitulée "Le commerce d'animaux sauvages favorise la transmission d'agents pathogènes de l'animal à l'homme depuis plus de 40 ans", cette étude est issue d'une large collaboration entre des scientifiques américains et suisses. Sa conclusion, qui ne devrait pas vous surprendre, est solidement étayée et arrive à point nommé : le commerce d'animaux sauvages est un énorme facteur de transmission d'agents pathogènes de l'animal à l'homme. Plus une espèce est commercialisée longtemps plus elle nous transmet d'agents pathogènes, ce à raison d'un nouvel agent pathogène par décennie environ. Les marchés d'animaux vivants augmentent considérablement ce risque. Globalement, les mammifères sauvages faisant l'objet d'un commerce ont 1,5 fois plus de chances de nous transmettre leurs agents pathogènes que ceux qui ne le sont pas.
En passant, les graphiques sont vraiment superbes. N'hésitez pas à mettre la vidéo en pause si vous souhaitez les examiner en détail. Le graphique B illustre les dangers relatifs des différentes relations avec les animaux sauvages : le terme "synanthropique" désigne les animaux ayant développé une relation étroite avec l'homme, comme les pigeons et les rats gris qui ne sont pas aussi menaçants. Vient ensuite la viande de gibier, comme le bison ou l'alligator. Comme vous pouvez le constater, les principaux facteurs de transmission zoonotique sont la durée du commerce et la vente d'animaux vivants sur les marchés, ce qui a très vraisemblablement contribué à l'épidémie de COVID-19.
Enfin, et le "commerce illégal" n'est pas hélas le moindre des facteurs prédictifs. C'est dommage parce que ça démontre que la solution n'est pas de se contenter d'interdire les marchés d'animaux vivants : tout comme la prohibition de l'alcool aux États-Unis avait créé de nouveaux problèmes et dangers à cause de la contrebande et une production clandestine d'alcool, les chercheurs suggèrent que l'interdiction de ces marchés serait contre-productive car elle aggraverait les risques. La voie à suivre passe, parallèlement au développement de nouveaux moyens réduisant la demande sur ces marchés, plutôt par la réglementation et une surveillance stricte. Une chauve-souris incontrôlable, ça vous tente ? J'essaierais bien.
Malgré quelques réserves ces données sont accablantes. Comme l'ont souligné d'autres chercheurs du domaine pour chaque espèce elles ne prennent pas en compte le volume des échanges. Alors une espèce commercialisée une fois par an et une espèce commercialisée mille fois par an sont considérées de la même façon. Les chercheurs disent avoir au départ pris en compte le volume mais que cela n'a pas modifié leurs résultats alors ils ont préféré une comparaison simplifiée. Plus important encore, ils n'ont considéré que le commerce international et non pas le commerce intérieur parce que les sur le commerce international sont plus claires et moins compliquées. Comme nous l'avons tous appris avec la COVID-19, les virus se fichent des frontières alors quand on en vient à étudier la prochaine pandémie il faut prendre en compte le commerce intérieur parce qu'il finira par s'internationaliser.
La bonne nouvelle, c'est que des recherches solides continuent d'être menées sur ce sujet malgré les coupes budgétaires drastiques et les tentatives fascistes des conservateurs américains pour faire taire les scientifiques et leurs données. Les pays dotés de dirigeants avisés peuvent commencer à exploiter ces recherches dès maintenant. Si nous parvenons à traverser les prochaines années, il est possible que les États-Unis puissent à nouveau écouter les experts et enrayer la prochaine maladie apocalyptique avant même qu'elle ne se déclare.

Imho, it's terrible that the country, and by extension the world, must suffer because years ago, when RFK, Jr. was a child, his father was assassinated. That's not the right reason. He needed to be rejected because he was totally UNQUALIFIED for the job.
