Oliver does a good job of explaining why American cannot be locked down and controlled the way Stephen Miller (a haunted Victorian doll powered by the souls of unrepentant Nazis) thinks it will. As I’ve been saying, we are a heavily armed populace, and not with pawpaws rifle, with serious weapons of war.

“To put this in perspective, the U.S. military, including reserves and National Guard, numbers around 2.1 million total personnel, which is less than 1% of the total population. Local, state, and federal law enforcement adds another 800,000 to 900,000 personnel. Most of those are not combat-trained, and nearly all are regionally fragmented. That’s less than 3 million total enforcers (many of whom will not comply with unconstitutional orders that obey their oaths) versus 340 million civilians, at least 100 million of whom are armed. Even if they activated every single uniform, they would still be outnumbered 100 to 1.”
