the #demoscene has been doing something similar for a couple of #demoparties now with their application #SofaWorld.They've for example recreated the party venue used for #RevisionDemoparty and captured quite a bit of the atmosphere of the usual in-person events there, along with a big screen on which the #demos and live streams of the events are displayed: https://youtu.be/CJdaOvdRbNU
