This Easter weekend was the Revision 2025 Demoparty in Saarbrücken, Germany. I never was at a demo party but somehow I got caught up in the live stream. That was quite fun. Looks like a combination of a Lan Party, a hacker conference, a festival and a party 😀

The technical brilliance of the Amiga intro, "Interceptor Intro" by Complex and Zymosis, likely largely went over the head of most of the audience at #Revision2025, I feel. The intro doesn't use the CPU at all once running (the CPU is only used for the setup). Even the Protracker music replay routine is only using copper and blitter. The basic concept of copper using blitter to reprogram the copper on the fly is not new, but this is by far the most impressive demonstration of the technique so far, I think.

The Amiga 1200 that was originally intended to be the Amiga AGA compomachine with the ACA1260 is also back together - this time with its original mainboard.
This thing has quite a history. It was my go-to Amiga AGA compomachine for a decade or so. Then the mainboard developed a problem around the LISA chip, so I swapped it out to the one that stands in front of the monitor, and sent it for repairs. After I got it back, I never swapped it back. Well, until now.

OMG. Hab gestern das DJ-Set von #LynnDrumm mit über 30(!) Live Coder in ein einem Shader Jam erlebt. Unfaßbar! Das war so ein Mega Masiver Irrer Meilenstein.
