Oh - similar happening with water quality management regs too. EIP weakens UK posture on both.

So today, Sunak's excuse for a Government continues Rees Mogg's #Brexit bonfire of EU regulations. Government amendments actively seek to prevent preservation of at least current level of environmental protection; & prevent enhanced Parliamentary scrutiny. Shameful #REULBill

Well, thank god for that. It's an absolute nightmare trying to advise clients when you've zero idea whether multiple laws are going to be repealed for no good reason a few months down the line

Net neutrality is under threat. The #REULBill will remove from UK law the principle that broadband carriers will treat all internet traffic equally, regardless of the content or the nature of the service. “The trade and cooperation agreement allows the EU to take countermeasures against the UK for breaches of the level playing field – for example, by removing zero-tariff access to the European market.

Net neutrality means Internet service providers can’t block, filter or prioritise content. Revoking the EU regulations would disadvantage UK Internet users, websites could be blocked without a legal order, and content could be prioritised to suit commercial interests. #REULBill #NetNeutrality #OpenInternet #REUL
