When your app polls for data, it becomes slow, unscalable, and cumbersome to maintain. RethinkDB is the open-source, scalable database that makes building realtime apps dramatically easier.

  9. Updated my router to pfSense. I am not against MikroTik but this router make me feel homey. First time configuration was a bit hard (my first time configures pfsense as well). But it was fun.

    what 's new:
    1. Renamed my server to DevLabs
    2. Fortinet detected my web server as phising (sad)
    3. RethinkDB. Compiled manually from source and run perfectly in FreeBSD

    #pfsense #freebsd #rethinkdb #server

  10. Updated my router from mikrotik to pfSense. I am not against using MikroTik but this router make me feel homey. First time configuration was a bit hard (my first time configures pfsense as well). But it was fun. The unused router can be used for students' project later.
