  3. We need to improve the way we manage European funds to effectively protect our money. Here are two key things we should focus on:

    1. Transparency: We need to make sure that all agreements with public institutions are transparent and available to the public, just like Slovakia does. This will help us control who benefits from public contracts and ensure that the final user is the one who truly profits. The World Bank's Guide to Combating Fraud from 2020 or the International Monetary Fund's Guide to Control of Ownership from 2022 can help us with this.

    2. Results, not just outputs: We can't just measure the number of kilometers of roads built or the amount of money spent. We need to look at the real results and see if they improve the flow of traffic, reduce travel time, or decrease the number of accidents. If we don't see improvements, it means we've invested in something that doesn't work well. And it's not just about the system, sometimes the people within the system need to be corrected and improved as well.
