Restaurants centered around historical cuisine from antiquity is an untapped market. For instance, I would love to go to a not too expensive restaurant that features ancient-roman foods. I don't mean some ridiculous themed restaurant with like staff wearing togas and fake gladiator fights. It would be just a normal modern restaurant, but serving ancient roman recipes. #food #resturants #history

I'm sad to hear of the apparent demise of the NW US restaurant chain, Shari's. For decades it was our go-to rendezvous to meet with friends for pie and drinks, or to have a late-night breakfast, and to talk and hang out. It was also a wonderful place for simple comfort food and a better quality alternative to Dennys. Those hexagonal buildings were iconic for some of us. They were like home. Sad.

I find it funny how resturants are struggling to find workers, but have low pay and no benefits.
If they want to get workers, perhaps they should pay a living wage and cut it out with the tipped-minimum wage. Better yet, get rid of tipping all together and charge the true cost of the meal so they can pay their workers a living wage.
