“Our future is not for sale"
Thousands of Indigenous Peoples gathered in Brazil for the 22nd Free Land Camp (ATL), one of the biggest Indigenous mobilisations in the world.

🦜🌿 It’s International Bird Day
If the forests went silent… would we notice?
From the Amazon to Raja Ampat, bird songs are the sound of life itself - the proof that ecosystems are whole, still wild.
But silence is getting closer. Mining is pushing into some of the last untouched places on Earth.
Protect the sound of nature while it exists. Spread the word, share this post. 🌍💚

A brighter future for the Amazon forest is within reach, but only if we act together and quickly. To protect and restore the Amazon, we must halt deforestation, stop funding destroyers, and support Indigenous Peoples and Local Communities-led solutions. Acting now will bring us all to the future we all dream of.
🌏
It's time to resist, rise and renew.

"After more than 25 years of trying to force through an unsustainable and unfair #trade agreement with #Mercosur, it's time for EU leaders to face the inescapable truth: it’s never going to happen." - Lis Cunha, trade campaigner

That means a clear roadmap for fossil fuel phase out, an end to deforestation across the Amazon and other forests, and credible climate finance that makes polluters and the wealthiest emitters pay for the losses and damages hitting communities worldwide.
Belém can still deliver an historic outcome if leaders choose the people over profits.

To keep 1.5 alive, we need ambition and we need courage.
There’s still time for governments to follow through with the promises made at the start of this COP, and turn hope into real action.

“Oil companies must pay part of this. Mining companies must pay part of this. Those who earn large fortunes must pay part of this”.
What President Lula said was right, but what we are seeing in the COP negotiations is the exact opposite.

With #COP30 taking place in the heart of the Amazon, leaders have a choice: to keep making empty promises or take real action to end deforestation. Forests aren’t optional, and neither is our future.

Power is everywhere - in every voice that dares to speak, in every banner raised defiantly, in every march, every signature, every share.
From Belém to Berlin, from Nairobi to Bogota, over half a million people have spoken loud and clear: Act for forests!
-
More than 300 lobbyists for industrial agriculture and the meat and dairy sector have taken part in #COP30 to greenwash their deforestation and emissions.
The Amazon needs protection, not PR. Leaders must back Indigenous and local communities and end deforestation now.
-
Big Ag is investing heavily in greenwashing at #COP30, with lobbyists, pavilions, PR – the whole works.
And while they pour money into protecting their image, we’re landed with the climate bill. See through the spin. Demand real action ✊
-
This is not the moment for empty promises. We need a concrete plan to end deforestation in all forests by 2030 and protect Indigenous rights, lands and knowledge.
Governments at #COP30 must act NOW. The world is watching.

🔥 THE FUTURE OF FORESTS IS ON THE LINE 🔥
Brazilian artivist Mundano just revealed a message written with ashes inside the COP30 venue.
These are real ashes collected in the Amazon, on Anambé Indigenous land, after devastating fires.
A reminder of what is already being lost, and a warning to world leaders in Belém: the future is burning.

Brazilian artivist Mundano delivered a striking art installation to demand world leaders take bold action for forests at #COP30.
The ashes used in the performance were taken from the Anambé Indigenous land, near Belém, in 2024, when the territory was impacted by forest fires.

Inside the #COP30 venue in Belém, Greenpeace built a fragile cardboard Eiffel Tower to show how the COP21 #ParisAgreement is under threat.
The message is clear: governments must act NOW to keep the 1.5°C climate limit alive.

PEOPLE AND PLANET ARE ON A TIGHTROPE 🔴
A Greenpeace Spain activist walked a tightrope 30 metres high in Madrid to deliver an urgent message to #COP30: governments must phase out fossil fuels, end deforestation before 2030, and make polluters pay. The 1.5°C climate limit is the line we cannot cross.

For many, COPs look like talk shops.
Sometimes they are.
But they are also where global pressure can force real action.
#COP30 will take place in Belém, in the Amazon.
This is what it means, and why people power still matters.

17% of the Amazon rainforest is already gone. More than 10,000 species of animals and plants are at risk.
The Amazon is the largest and most important ecosystem on Earth, but it is disappearing quickly. As it vanishes, the planet loses a vital force that helps regulate climate and weather, putting all life at risk.
We can’t let this continue. It’s time to demand action.
