My memories of #Jan6 I was planning to tune into CSPAN to follow the vote-counting process, but Sarah persuaded me to have a nap instead. I was awakened by a phone call from a friend who said, in a choked-up voice, โtheyโre storming the Capitol.โ That got me to wide awake in a big hurry. I followed the goings-on of the day with trepidation and more than a little fear. For me it at least approached the magnitude of 9/11. Never in my wildest dreams did I ever think an actual insurrection would ever happen here. Yet it did. And, for the past 4 years, weโve been inundated by those who would attempt to whitewash the events of that terrible day. It infuriates me that, at least to a certain extent, they are succeeding. The person most responsible for #Jan6 was reelected. Whenever I think about that for too long, emotional darkness descends. As a country, weโve lost our minds, and I see nothing but darkness ahead, though I suspect some will find entertainment in it all. All I can do is hold on tight and hope and pray for the best. #ResistTheRegime #Jan6Insurrection

@Tarnport @fixiemama In my humble opinion, at least part of the way to do this is to throw out the game rule book, like the other side did long ago. If you go high while they go low, chances are youโll get hit in very sensitive places. Itโs sad and itโs tragic, but it needs to be done. It isnโt possible to appeal to the better angels of their nature when no such angels even exist. #ResistTheRegime
