My Mom had been sharing many stories about how my Dad was a human rights activist in his teens into his 20s - while attending university for veterinary career(he graduated with full honours). Dad used to gather up fellow youths & young adults in #Saigon to organize for protests. He was branded an enemy of the state & was arrested/detained/tortured multiple times before I was born. Mom said that I take after my Dad in our shared passion & determination to try & make progressive changes in the world.
