Today's dog is Chubby, whom we first met when building our house. He "belonged" to someone in the village but was neglected, undernourished and almost hairless. He adopted us and is now part of the family. It took almost a year for his fur to grow back but it did in the end. He's very old, almost toothless, stubborn as hell, and has some serious health issues, but he loves us and we love him. We're trying to make his remaining days good ones.

Kengo went back to the vet for a post-op checkup and a laser treatment. They found the scar looks good and are happy to see him partially bearing weight on the operated leg. He has to have a total of 6 laser treatments then staple removal. But...there are only three staples left in...thanks to his self-removal. But they aren't concerned about it at all. So...he's recovering fast, I think?

Good Saturday morning. We survived the night. The only hardship for me was to carry him up on and down from my bed. If he doesn't get on my bed, he would be whining and pacing around. He never gets off my bed during the night anyway, so that part wasn't a concern.
Weather isn't too nice anyway, so we aren't missing a walk (well, we are).

Today was Kengo's D-Day. His surgery on the right hind leg went well, although I haven't seen him since I dropped him off there this morning. They are keeping him there overnight to watch. Since I didn't know that at that time, I don't have good photos. I'm off tomorrow and I will pick him up in late AM.
